PORTO ALEGRE, BRAZIL / 2015
This project client is a couple with one son and their brief was to build a contemporary house with pure lines. The terrain is located in Alphaville, a gated community in the south of Porto Alegre, and features striking views to a preservation forest and to Guaiba river, an important postcard of the city.
The hardest thing about this project was to fit harmonically the client brief and needs to small plot size, measuring about 500 square meters and with diverse restrictions and regulations applied by the Alphaville architecture sector.
The solution to this briefing was to group the many different functions within a single volume, an elegant box. This approach allowed the designers to maximize the garden area and to integrate the social area on the ground floor to the pool. A large covered terrace was located on the second floor to contemplate the beautiful visuals to the surrounding nature.
