PORTO ALEGRE, BRAZIL / 2016
This project was designed for a couple with two daughters. The clients asked for a practical house to gather family and friends in the weekends. Their brief was to have the view to the protected trees as a background to the social area.
The steeply sloped terrain was the biggest challenge we faced during the Vista House design, thus, the rational use of the natural topography as a starting point for this project.
Our approach was to locate the garage and services at the lowest level, using the natural slope to access it. The social living area and the pool are located at the street level, overlooking the protected trees at the back of the terrain, hence, the vistas that name this house. On top of that, the private areas of the house are located on the second floor, featuring the most striking views of this beautiful and relaxing place.
